“Joseph Gembler was the Project Manager on the building of the house for my parents. Being that they were both in their 90s at the time, it was imperative that the house be finished as quickly as possible since I wanted them to be able to enjoy it. Both were so excited to have the first brand new house to replace the one that they’d lived in for over 60 years. Their house was being built behind the main house on my property, so of course I was not looking forward to living with construction, but as the Project Manager Joseph assured me that the site would be kept clean, that materials would be stored out of sight, that construction trucks would be kept off of my concrete driveway, and that delays (aside from weather related), would be kept to a bare minimum. Joseph was onsite daily to ensure that all of the above would happen as promised. A caliche road was laid alongside the concrete one for the construction trucks to use. When compliance became an issue with some of the trades, he had beautiful signs made in both English and Spanish explaining the rules of the road, which took care of the problem. The fact that his Spanish is excellent also helped with communication with all the trades. He supervised everything, made elaborate color-coded notes with spray paint on the framing pointing out necessary corrections, and followed up that the changes were made. Most importantly, he was conscientious about the pace of the job so that my parents could move in as quickly as possible. They were living on-site in a guest apartment during the project and when I took them over to see the progress, he was always exceedingly kind to them, which we all appreciated. I found working with Joseph a pleasure, and I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for an excellent project manager for their job.”
