The construction of a typical custom home generally takes approximately 12 months from the time the foundation is poured to closing. However, this timeline can vary based on several factors, including the size of the home, the complexity of architectural and design elements, and any changes made during the construction process.
If you don’t already own a lot, securing one can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months, depending on market conditions such as inventory availability and demand. Once a lot is secured, the architectural design phase typically takes 4 to 6 months on average, though it can extend longer based on the pace at which decisions are made and your readiness to move forward. From that point, once plans and full project pricing are finalized, the construction phase generally takes an additional 12 months to complete.

The first step is to schedule a meeting so we can get to know each other and discuss your goals, vision, and budget. If we're aligned and ready to move forward, we’ll begin the lot search if needed. Once the lot is secured, we move into the architectural design phase. After the plans are finalized through several revisions, we develop detailed specifications covering finishes like flooring, countertops, cabinetry, paint, lighting, and plumbing fixtures. With those in place, we gather bids from our vendors and contractors to present you with a full project cost. Once everything is approved, construction begins!
